We would love some volunteers to help with cooking & serving dinner, bar tender, dinner prep crew, dinner cleanup crew. It takes volunteers to make events like this happen again. Please let us know if you'd like to help. Volunteers get a specials gift!

What is the plan?

Four us poor Pitts drivers that don't want to make the trek to Oshkosh in our Pitts, the California Pitts Fly-In is born.

Where to stay?

Columbia airport offers on airport camping and a few campsites are on a first come first served basis, but there is never a shortage of space. There are 14 firepits and picnic tables and a group fire pit. There are camp showers and bathrooms. The TCAA website has more info on camping at O22.

There are also a few hotels within walking distance from the airport.

Local Transportation

There are only two rental cars available from the local FBO, Bald Eagle Aviation. They book up fast. There is limited Uber and Lyft in the area. There is more info on the TCAA website.

I can't carry camping gear in my Pitts; How am I supposed to camp?

Yea, no $hit! If you want to pack your camp gear and other stuff and ship it ahead of time, Jake's Air Repair is willing to receive your parcels and mail them back for you the following week. Reach out to JakesAirRepair@gmail.com to coordinate.

What's it cost?

Parking is $10/night paid to Tuolumne County Airport. You can pay online or leave cash in the Iron Ranger.

A $25 donation is encouraged to cover event costs.
