Pine Mountain Lake Airport Groveland, CA (E45)

Overview

Pine Mountain Lake (PML) Airport is a non-towered airport located 3 miles northeast of Groveland, CA.  Its runway is 3624 x 50 ft. and at an elevation of 2895 ft. and is lighted.  It's CTAF frequency is 122.9.

AWOS (Automated Weather Observation System)
The AWOS for E45 is 15 NM away located at Columbia Airport.

Traffic Pattern
E45's traffic patterns are to the NW of the airport, right pattern for Runway 27 and left pattern for Runway 9.   There are residences and a recreation area close to PML Airport, so we encourage all pilots to reduce their noise when possible.

Pine Mountain Lake Aero Club:

 A group of local pilots got together and decided to start an Aero Club. The sole purpose of the Aero Club would be to support General Aviation, promote flying as an enjoyable activity, and to make flying as safe and affordable as possible for all members.

History

1968 - Runway excavated, operated as a private unimproved dirt airfield.  

1969 - Runway 27/09 paved.  

1970 - Certified by the CA Department of Transportation.  

1973 - Airport deeded to Tuolumne County.  

1974 - Lighting installed  

1981 - Fuel service.  

2001 - VASI installed.  

2004 - Airport identifier changed from Q68 to E45.  

2019 - Airport Weather Advisory installed - 3 click wind, 4 click full.
